Wow, can you believe we're already at the end of our journey? It feels like it went by so quickly. We learned about the importance of the ocean for people in Ísafjörður, how Icelanders celebrate New Year's Eve, and what life is like for Icelandic kids. I also got to share with you about my trip to see the ballet in Iceland's capital, Reykjavík. What did you find interesting to learn about?

There's much more to learn, but I want to share one of Iceland's most famous sights in our last journal together. When people think of Iceland, many times one of the first things they think of is the northern lights, or Norðurljós (NOR-thur-lyos). The northern lights are these green (and sometimes pink) lights that appear in the sky near the North and South Poles. You might remember them from the movie Frozen. Iceland is a great place to see the lights because of the long winter nights. I was so excited the first time I saw them! I was dancing in place and laughing because it felt amazing to see beautiful colors moving in the sky. I've always wanted to watch the northern lights, so I'm very happy now that I've done that. What's something you want to see or do when you're older?
