Kristrún: I like hamburgers!
Aron: Pizza with ham!
Kristrún: I learn English and speak Icelandic at school. One of my friends speaks Arabic, so we talk in English together. In Icelandic, I say halló (HA-lo) when I see my friends.
Aron: I speak Icelandic at school. I say hæ (hi) to my friends.
Kristrún: My best friend is Manissa. I sit next to Sigurún (SI-gu-roon).
Aron: My best friend is Tristan. Some other kids in my class are Guðjón (GUTH-yon), Darri, Kolli, and Hugi.
Kristrún: We learn to read and do math. We also learn how to swim and do gymnastics. I like swimming!
Aron: At school we do math, reading, and recess. My favorite part is útivera (OOT-i-VER-a) [an outdoor class where students explore and play].
