Years ago, I asked my parents for a sister and they gave me a turtle – not exactly what I had in mind! My older brother is a banker and my little brother designs video games. I love them both just as much as – ok, more than – I loved my pet turtle!
I have traveled to over seven countries and am learning two languages, Finnish and Spanish. Even traveling as much as I can, moving to another country and living abroad can be quite challenging and stressful. Just like back home, it’s helpful to be thankful for the small victories, stay focused on your long-term goal, work hard, practice yoga, read or meditate and talk to friends and family. These are skills that you can develop now, no matter where you live or where you go. Compasses break and iPhone batteries go dead, but you all have your own guiding compass inside of you. As long as you follow it, you’ll never be lost for long.
