Traveler Bio

Hi! My name is Briyant Boakye Frimpong and I am excited to be heading to Copenhagen, Denmark. I was born in Ghana, raised in the Bronx, New York. I currently study computer science and economics at Brandeis University in Massachusetts. I have always been drawn to culture, community, and storytelling whether through music, movies, or meaningful conversations.

At Brandeis, I serve as a Community Advisor, supporting students and helping to build a strong and inclusive residential community. I also work in the Office of Admissions where I get to share my Brandeis experience with prospective students and their families. On top of that, I enjoy playing sports, hanging out with friends, and listening to diverse music.

As I prepare for this experience, I am looking forward to learning about Danish culture, exploring the beautiful city of Copenhagen, and making connections with people from around the world. I am grateful for this opportunity and excited to share my journey with you all.

Peace Corps Volunteers like me live and work side by side with community members around the world, collaborating on locally prioritized projects, building relationships, exchanging cultures and knowledge, and helping transform lives for generations. Learn more by clicking here.
