A Day in the Life of a Danish High School Student

Introduction:

Today I got to visit a high school in Copenhagen, Denmark. We talked to students about their everyday lives. I interviewed Ida, and she told me surprising things as well as familiar things, but all of it was really cool to learn about!

What is your full name?:

My name is Ida Lindqvist!

Where do you live? What is your house like?:

I live in Copenhagen with my family, so that's my mom, my dad and younger brother. Some of my classmates actually live on their own, already, which is pretty common here!

What is your family like?:

I have a small and close family. My parents always encouraged me to be independent and figure things out on my own from a pretty young age.

How do you get around?:

I ride my bike everywhere! Almost everyone in Copenhagen does. It's faster than a car most of the time and a way more fun way to travel the streets of Copenhagen.

What types of clothing do you like to wear?:

I love a good outfit but I keep it simple. Usually, I wear a long trench coat, some straight leg jeans, a clean white top and sneakers or loafers. Danes are not really flashy, but we always look put together!

What do you like to do in your free time?:

I love hanging out with my friends and listening to music.
