I believe both of these concentrations were driven by my desire to travel and explore the world. Teachers are needed everywhere in the world. And Spanish is a language that connects me to millions of people around the world. Do any of you speak another language?
After graduating, I applied to be an English teacher in Spain so I could connect my love of travel with my desire to teach and practice Spanish. I received a grant and now here I am! I am working as an English teacher in the Canary Islands. The islands are really far away from Spain but are still part of Spain, and they still speak Spanish here. I am on the island of Tenerife in a large city named Santa Cruz.
I am very excited to start teaching and exploring the city! My mom, dad and three younger sisters are still at home, and I am sure that I will miss them, and my two puppies too. But I cannot wait to begin this amazing year and share it all with you!
