My favorite song to listen to is called “Strövtåg i hembygden”, which translates to "A Stroll in the Hometown". I also listened to some music by the band Oliver Hazard. I like their song “Honey I’m Hardly”.
My favorite thing I did this week was exploring the inside of the Vatican museums in Rome. In the Greek and Roman statue exhibit my friend and I spent some time using what we knew about Greek mythology to guess who each statue was. For example, Dionysus is usually depicted with a panther or a goblet and Athena almost always has a helm resting on her head. It was super fun! There were some statues with silly faces or shapes too.
This week I read Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman. He told the stories of the Norse gods, including Thor or Loki, in a really interesting way! I was entertained and I also learned a lot about the different gods’ personalities and legends. This week, I also finished the Italian classic "Il Gattopardo" for my Mafia class.
This week, my roommates and I played a card game called Bluff together. I was so close to winning a couple different times, but never quite made it! My friend, Sadie, was too good to beat.
I took a trip to Rome with my friend, Suebeen, for a few days. We were able to see all the amazing Roman ruins, eat yummy gelato, try the traditional Roman dish called Pasta all’amatriciana, and visit Vatican City. Walking around the city felt like walking through history!
