My Interview With David

I've always stayed really close to my family.  Our family became very close after my parents passed away, and my aunt and uncle still get together with us to celebrate Christmas every year.

How do you get around?:

In the past I would walk or ride the local transportation, chapas, but I recently bought a motorcycle, and I'm teaching myself how to ride it now.

What types of clothing do you like to wear?:

I like casual clothes. My favorite color is red, so I always bring my red baseball cap with me wherever I go. I usually wear a t-shirt and shorts as well. For special occasions or church services, I wear the traditional Mozambican fabric, capulana. While women wrap it around their waists, I have mine made into colorful shirts!

What do you like to do in your free time?:

I love to watch American and Brazilian movies as well as T.V. shows such as "Game of Thrones". I also really enjoy photography and making short videos. I have a side business that allows me to film videos for birthdays and weddings.

What language(s) do you speak? How do you say "Hello" in your language?:

I speak Ximonika and Portuguese fluently. I really want to learn English, though!

Ximonika: Sei (pronounced "say")

Portuguese: Ola

Do you have pets?:

I have two cats to scare away mice and insects from our home!

Have you traveled? Where have you traveled to?:

I have traveled to our country capital and other major cities in the south and central Mozambique to visit family.
