When I tried the grilled steak, it was cooked right in front of me. The side dishes were prepared beforehand, since most of the vegetables need to ferment. The tanghulu is prepared by placing the fruit on a skewer and dipping it in hot sugar.
This food is connected to the local environment because I tried them all in different locations around the city. The tanghulu I tried in the Dongdaemun-gu district while I ate the fried chicken in Hongdae. It was based on the population of the area, as in Hongdae there were more tourists, while in Dongdaemun-gu there were more local food vendors.
