Instead of throwing everything in a landfill, the country regulates its recycling by having designated bins for paper, glass, plastic and even food waste. The community is dedicated not only to disposing these items but also to maintaining a clean environment.
This issue is addressed not only by the individuals that are sorting their recyclables but by the people that are in charge of bringing them to the centers. In addition, older people volunteer to clean up the areas around the city. I noticed older people cleaning the streets and sidewalks around my campus.
