As a native of snowy Pennsylvania, I think that Spain's winter weather feels extremely warm and pleasant, with an average temperature of about 45 degrees Fahrenheit each day. There has been no snow so far this entire winter in Madrid, which makes getting around easy.
This week I saw many dogs walking around the city of Madrid, usually dressed in cute little coats to protect them from the cold. When I venture out of the city center and into the mountains, I am lucky to see deer, large bulls and other farm animals.
I live in the city center of Madrid, so I do not see much nature in terms of plants or animals. However, I did see a beautiful Madrid sunset from my bedroom window that took my breath away.
There are pigeons all over Madrid, and they look just like the pigeons you may find in other large cities in the USA!
