This week my furthest journey was to Navacerrada, a mountain town outside of Madrid. The trip was 50 kilometers, or a 40 minute drive.
So far, my farthest journey since living in Spain was to Prague in the Czech Republic. This medieval city is 2,300 kilometers away from Madrid, or a 2.75 hour flight.
This week I took the local bus to work in the suburbs every day, and I walked or took the metro (subway) around the city. Walking is much more common here in Madrid than in many parts of the United States!
The cathedrals in Spain are incredible, and I was lucky enough to visit this one pictured this week.
Next weekend I am lucky enough to be traveling to Vienna, Austria. I am curious how the culture will differ from that of Spain and the USA.
