Dear students,
It feels like just yesterday that we started our journey together, sharing stories, learning about different cultures and exchanging ideas. Now, as my time with Reach the World comes to an end, I want to take a moment to thank you for being such an amazing class.
Over the past few weeks, I have truly enjoyed getting to know you all. Your curiosity, thoughtful questions and enthusiasm have made this experience unforgettable. I hope that through this exchange, you’ve gained a new perspective on life in the Canary Islands and the adventures of traveling and living in another country.
From exploring the beautiful beaches of Gran Canaria to learning about the island’s volcanic origins, I loved sharing these experiences with you. We talked about the local Canarian food, such as gofio and papas arrugadas, and we learned about the vibrant celebrations during Carnaval. You also got to see the breathtaking landscapes, from the sand dunes of Maspalomas to the stunning sunset views at Roque Nublo, and the green mountains of the interior. Each post I shared was a little window into my life here, and I hope it inspired you to learn more about different parts of the world.
