They cost 25 XOF which is less than a U.S. penny! They have 500 ml of water in each sachet and people prepare them at their houses and then sell them on the streets. This was one of the biggest surprises to me when I got here. If you do find a waterbottle, which isn't the most common it is 1000 XOF or $1.75, which is not that cheap considering what people make here.

What was the best meal this week?:

I have to cook most meals myself, since there is no restuarant in my village. This week I made myself Venezuelan pastelitos, a comfort meal I brought from my life in America. I am a huge Mexican and Latin American food fan, so this was a really nice treat that I cooked for myself on my birthday.

What music did I listen to this week?:

The music here really ranges from religious gospel music to afro beats to european pop. Personally, my compound plays a lot of Rhianna, my neighbor loves Rhianna. I have been listening to a lot of Kizz Daniel, he's a Nigerian singer, so he sings in English and Hausa but is really popular in Togo. He has a song called "Buga (Lo Lo Lo)" which is a really good vibe happy energy song.

What activity was the most fun this week?:

This week I went to visit my tailor. I brought him some sewing patterns from America with an outfit I wanted. It costs like around four U.S. dollars to make an outfit from scratch custom fit to your body. It is quite a deal, and the tailors here are incredibly talented. They don't use patterns or electric sewing machines, it is manual foot-pumped sewing machines and their own creativity.
