How was the weather this week?:

It is the rainy season here so it gets very cold - especially when it rains. It gets cold early in the morning until about 10 a.m., and then starts getting warm. The temperature rises to about 80 degrees Fahrenheit from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. then drops to about 68 degrees in the evening.

What animals did I see this week? :

I went to Queen Elizabeth National Park which is the largest wildlife park in Uganda, so I saw many animals. Some animals I saw were buffalos, hippos, monkeys, eagles, elephants, waterbucks, Ugandan kobs, a lion and many different birds.

What was the coolest thing I saw in nature this week?:

The coolest thing I saw was the lion. There are many lions in the park, but they are deep in the savannah and you don’t usually see them; however, I was lucky to see one. Lions are nocturnal which means they are only active at night. We went lion trekking at around 7 p.m. when the sun was setting and the lions were waking up. The one I saw was awake but was still inactive. It was really cool to see a lion in the wild.
