Nature is the collection of our physical world and is comprised of things that exist without human creation. Animals, plants, landscapes and other products of the earth form nature. The natural environment is different everywhere you go. Exploring nature is one of the main reasons people travel.
There are so many beautiful landscapes, plants, and animals here in Uganda. One of the fascinating animals I saw was a lion—known as the King of the Jungle. This lion was a muscular, broad-chested cat. The one I saw was a mature male lion and had a yellow-brown coat. You could tell it was a mature male because he had a big brown mane that encircled its neck. This mane protects the lion while fighting.
I was very excited to see the lion. On our way, I saw bones of animals on the ground which meant the lions were very active the previous night. I was a bit scared, but also very curious to see one. The park is not like a zoo where the animals are caged. Instead, they are in their natural habitat, so I knew the lion wouldn’t be a tamed one. We went looking for the lion in a car around 7 p.m. On our search, a park ranger spotted one and called us to come close. I was very thrilled and got my camera ready. When we approached, we could see the lion was lying down.
