Transportation in Warsaw is very complicated! There are taxis, trains, buses, subway and even Uber! For quick trips from the airport and through the town, people often use Uber. Have any of you heard of Uber? You contact a driver to pick you up and drop you off through an app on your cell phone. Short trips only cost about $4 to $5 in Poland. In the United States it can cost $15 to $20 for the same trip!
Besides cars, there are buses, trams and trains. These are more difficult to use and involve buying tickets early. You also have to learn which path or route to take. If you have never been to the city before, this can be very difficul. I have already messed this up! Luckily, the people in Poland have been very kind and patient and have helped me when I found myself taking the wrong bus and tram.
In large cities like Warsaw, there are many different types of transportation. The system is very easy to use and includes buses, subways and trams. The trams are really interesting as they move along tracks and run along electric cables.
The buses and trams use the same ticket. A ride on the bus usually only costs $1! You can buy tickets for only 20 or 75 minutes, so it has been hard to decide which type of ticket to buy!
