Life as a Kid in Korea

Who is your favorite famous person?:

Kim Kwang Seok is Gam's favorite famous person. As a child, he grew up listening to the songs of this folk singer. Gam is also a fan of Ban Ki-moon who was UN Secretary General and who inspired him to want to become a diplomat.

What kinds of music do you listen to?:

Kids today enjoy listening to American pop, electronic dance music and K-pop. They like Twice, Red Velvet and Imagine Dragons.

What would you like to be when you grow up?:

As a child, Gam wanted to be a scientist or a diplomat. Jae-min wanted to be an architect like his parents.

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?:

The United States, New York, California and Canada are places that Gam wants to go. Jae-Min wants to go to New York, Singapore and Hong Kong. He is interested in seeing the Vessel at Hudson Yards in New York for its unusual structure.

What do you know or think about the United States?:

The United States has everything, and life is easy because kids in America have more free time to play sports and watch television. Both Gam and Jae-min have been to the United States for summer vacation. They also have cousins in the United States, so they are quite familiar with American culture.

What are your hobbies? Do you want to come to South Korea? What do you think of Korean people? What is your school life like?
