新加坡的食品比别个国家不一样。这个因为新加坡是有三个民族的国家:中国人,印度人,和马来西亚人;所以新加坡食物是不同食物的混合。

The food in Singapore is different from other countries. This is because Singapore is a country with three ethnic groups: Chinese, Indians and Malaysians. Singaporean food is a mixture of different foods from these cultures.
因为最近是春节,所以今天我想告诉你这个春节传统菜肴:魚生。虽然鱼生是从中国大陆的菜肴,但是现代这个是新加坡和马来西亚(马来半岛)的传统。
Translation:
Since the Chinese New Year occurred recently, I want to tell you about this traditional Chinese New Year dish: Yu Sheng. Although Yu Sheng is a dish from mainland China, the modern version is a tradition in Singapore and Malaysia (the Malay Peninsula).
鱼生中的每一种成分都有重要的意义。
第一:添加鱼,因为鱼是余,而说“年年有余”。
第二:添加胡萝卜,而说“鸿运当头”。
第三:添加绿色的萝卜,而说“青春常驻”。
第四:添加白色的萝卜,而说“步步高升“。
第五:添加碎花生,而说“金银满屋”。
第六:添加梅子酱,而说“甜甜蜜蜜”。
第七:最后,添加薯片,而说“遍地黄金”。
Translation:
Every ingredient in Yu Sheng has an important meaning.
First: Add fish, because fish means surplus, and say, "Nian Nian You Yu" (abundance throughout the year).
Second: Add carrots and say, "Hong Yun Dang Tou" (good luck is approaching).
Third: Add green radish and say, "Qing Chun Chang Zhu" (to stay forever young).
