In the first half of district competition we play against six teams two times. In the second half we play the same six teams a further two times each. These teams are Lancaster, Kaufmann, Terrell, Poteet, Forney High School and West Mesquite. WIth luck and hard work, we will be among the top two high schools from our district to qualify for the preseason rounds and be eligible to compete in the state competition!
Amazon has recently announced that they will build an Amazon Distribution center in Forney. The center will be 200,000 square feet and should be completed by the end of 2020. The company will bring thousands of jobs to Forney, but along with new jobs comes more traffic on the already plagues Highway 80. Nevertheless, the city is looking forward to this profound change to the community. "The City is excited to add Amazon to our growing portfolio of businesses in the commercial sector," officials said in a written statement.
