One of the great honors I have had working in Mexico has been through Vicente Guerrero and Atlacomulco High School. In this school and community, you will find the Mazahua people who maintain their rich and vibrant culture throughout the State of Mexico (Mexican State).

In the past few months, I have learned about the need to preserve the Mazahua culture and language. The Mazahua community has unique food, dances and language that connect the Mazahua to their land and to Mexico itself. Every language and culture contains an incredible and countless wealth of knowledge.
