While there are some people who are working to make sure that if it is a dry year they have the right amount of water available for their crops, many others are moving out of Asturias to find jobs in the bigger cities in the south of Spain. Asturias is heavily reliant upon the coal mining and farming industry, and with coal mines closing down and farming becoming harder to do with the climate changing, many are moving out of the small villages in search of jobs in the bigger cities and in regions that have more money. While many are hesitant to move away from the region that is home, it comes down to survival, and unfortunately Asturias is not doing so well when it comes to providing the jobs that people are seeking.
