What did I read this week?:

In addition to "Go Tell It on the Mountain," which I'm still reading, I read parts of a different book this week. The book is about Khmer people in this region. The book is in Vietnamese, but on each page, you can see an English translation of the Vietnamese. Unfortunately, there are some parts of the book that are inaccurate, but a lot of the information inside is accurate and useful. The translation is a little bit weird, though, so I mainly read the Vietnamese. Aside from that, I also read some of my students' work this week. The second semester will be ending soon, so my students have been turning in work to me recently. Do all of you have a lot of assignments right now? What are you and your classmates doing before the end of the school year?

What games or sports did I play this week?:

Normally, I play badminton every day of the week. Sometimes, though, I play football (soccer). In Vietnam and most parts of the world outside of the U.S., soccer is called "football". Whenever someone invites me to play football in Soc Trang, I usually say "yes" because I really like playing. This past week, I played with a different team. When I arrived at the fields, I was really surprised. The vice director of the college where I teach and a teacher who lives next to me in Soc Trang were on the other team! We had a lot of fun being competitive with each other (though I was a little nervous to play against them at the start of the game). Overall, it was a very fun game!
