Traveler Bio

Hi! My name is Harry. I’m 22 years old and from New York. I’ve been living in a tiny town in Costa Rica called La Paz (which means The Peace in English!) for the past three months. I’ll be staying here until September of 2025 with a program called the Peace Corps.

The Peace Corps is a very interesting program. It’s a big group of American volunteers who work in foreign countries all over the world! Colombia, South Africa, Thailand… the list goes on. I specifically wanted to volunteer in Costa Rica, a small country in Central America. The people are so kind and the country is beautiful. There are also all sorts of crazy animals here. Monkeys, sloths, snakes, you name it. Just the other day I found a scorpion in my bed!

In my free time, I love listening to music. I’ve also been learning how to DJ since coming here.  I’m not very good, but I think it’s super fun! In addition to music, I play lots of soccer and chess. My favorite soccer team is Real Madrid, and my favorite chess player is Hikaru Nakamura. I also enjoy reading. I love the Harry Potter series in particular of course… We share a name!

I’m so excited to meet and learn about all of you. Talk soon!
