Italy has numerous spots in nature to visit, even fairly close to the city. Much of it is overlooked or not widely known by people. ranging from the greenery of parks to the fresh blue water. In Florence, it can be hard to spot the greenery as most of its scenic views are of historic architectural buildings and art sculptures. However, traveling on a train or a bus out to Chianti, which is the hilly countryside of Tuscany, is a great way to explore the hidden, beautiful spots of nature in Italy.
The countryside of Tuscany is filled with greenery such as vineyards and green fields. It is hard to miss when viewing it from above. The vineyards look green and never-ending. My first sighting of clear blue water was when I took a bus to a river about an hour away from Florence. This river ran for miles with its crystal blue water.
When I first saw the vineyards, I was in awe. It was something I had never seen in person before, but always through social media or movies. These vineyards grow the grapes that are used to make wine. Seeing it with my own eyes made it feel special, and I was able to understand its deep connection with Italian culture. Since the purpose of these vineyards is for winemaking, it helped me understand the importance of wine in Italian tradition.
