This week's weather has been normal for Mexico City. Because of the latitude, many people assume that all of Mexico is hot year-round. This is true for lower altitudes, but because I am up in the mountains, it remains moderate all year.
I saw two lizards, lots of pet dogs, two ducks, stray cats, pet cats and birds. I saw different types of birds, including finches and grackles.
I went to an urban garden with some friends on Saturday. It was refreshing to see so many fruits and vegetables thriving in the midst of an urban environment!
Because of a gasoline shortage in Mexico, the pollution in the city has been much better this week. I noticed that the air was easier to breathe. The clean air was especially noticeable last night during the lunar eclipse. We actually had a great view of the moon and stars from our roof. Did you see the lunar eclipse?
