From Milan to the Amalfi Coast and all of the cities in between, I learned to maneuver my way through crowds and navigate the train systems in Italy. Italy is very different compared to what I am used to in America, but I loved the differences and adapting to them. For example, the food consisted of a lot of pasta, paninis and pizza. And the way of transportation consisted of a lot of walking and train rides. However, I've grown to love Italy and everything it has to offer.

During my time here, I had the chance to visit Paris, London and Amsterdam. My travel experience in every country was a little different, but they all consisted of Google Maps, public transportation and a constant fear of getting lost. I tried a lot of new foods, like aligot, and took a lot of different forms of transportation, like the London Tube. Traveling outside of Italy was scary, but I would never regret going to see the lights of the Eiffel Tower twinkle in the night sky, the modern art exhibits at Tate Modern in London, or the history that lies in the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam.

If you were to tell me last year that I would be studying abroad in Italy for a semester, I would have called you crazy.
