As a result of the WHO's declaration of COVID-19 as a global pandemic, many countries began closing their borders and airlines began to cancel flights. We also departed Antarctica a day earlier than planned in a race to get passengers home. However, mid-way across the Drake Passage we received the news that all ships, including ours, were required to quarantine on board the ship for 14 days before being allowed to return to Ushuaia Port and disembark.
