An Interview with Hugo: Life in Spain

Introduction:

Hugo tells us about his life in Spain. Comparing my childhood to his, I have noticed many differences that are striking to me. Read his responses to my questions below!

What do you eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner?:

For breakfast, I usually have bread with tomato, and sometimes my dad lets me have coffee. Lunch and dinner are different every day!

What is your house like?:

I live in an apartment with three rooms. One room is for my parents, one for me, and the other for my sister. However, my sister does not live here anymore, so her room is now for our dog, Mavi. We also have a kitchen, a living room, and a balcony that has some grass. That's where our dog sometimes goes to the bathroom.

What chores do you have at home?:

My parents tell me that I have to clean my room. In the morning I have to make my bed, and I also prepare my bookbag for school. My mom checks my bookbag to make sure I have everything I need, just in case!

What jobs do your parents have?:

My parents own a restaurant, called Casa Pepe. They sell delicious food, and we go there after school to get food on many occasions.

What time does school start, and what time do you go home?:

I start school at 9 a.m., and it ends at 2 p.m.
