Interview with Sera Emmers

When I'm not wearing those types of clothes, I'm usually in sweatpants. Parisians don't like sweatpants, but I love them! I hope to come to America some day, where many people where sweatpants outside!

What do you like to do in your free time?:

I love reading books, like the new Colleen Hoover book that my dad gifted to me. I also love to shop and hang out with my friends. I've been pretty sick lately, so my free time this past week has seen me sleeping a lot.

What language(s) do you speak? How do you say "Hello" in your language?:

I can speak English, French and some Vietnamese. To say "hello" in these languages is bonjour or xin chào. At school I speak English most of the time, because everyone here can speak that, but at home I'm speaking French a lot.

Do you have pets?:

We don't have any pets, but I would love to get a cat. Some of the people in Sougeal have pets that I can see, but I would love to have one of my own!

Have you traveled? Where have you traveled to?:

I've travelled all over the world. I've been to America, Vietnam, Thailand, Germany, Amsterdam, England and Spain. I'd like to pick up some of the languages that I've encountered at these places, but so far I can only speak three languages.

What do you do for work?:

I'm not employed full-time, but I do tutor children on a weekly basis in math and English. Every week I visit a family of three children and teach them how to speak English, which is always enjoyable.

Is there anything else you would like to say to students in the United States?:

I love the United States!
