Interviewing Sarai - A 16 year-old High School Student in Zamora

What subjects do you study in school, and which one is your favorite?:

My favorite subject is English because I am the best at it. I also study social studies, natural science and math.

(Grades are represented with the numbers 1-10 (10 being the best), not letters. Sarai said she was bad at math, even though her grade is an 8/10!)

What is your homework like?:

I typically have 1 hour of homework every day.

(Students have weeks dedicated to exams, which require extra studying.)

What do you like to do after school? Do you have a favorite sport or game?:

After school I like to run, play basketball or do a different form of exercise.

Who is your favorite famous person?:

I love technology, social media and the news, but I don't like the idea of obsessing over a famous person, or following their personal lives.

What kinds of music do you listen to?:

I like Latin American pop music, and a lot of English music too, like Ed Sheeran.

What would you like to be when you grow up?:

I want to sleep when I grow up. I love sleeping.

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?:

If I could go anywhere in the world, I would go to the United States. Especially New York City.

What do you know or think about the United States?:

The United States is a good country with good opportunities to study and work. The people are friendly but mostly speak English, which could be difficult because it is still difficult for me to understand.
