Introducing Camille!

One of my favorite parts of college was swimming as a member of the club swim team. I also led backpacking, camping, and hiking trips in the wilderness of New England. I worked with student groups, too, to teach my friends about environmental issues. I also love reading, exercising, and exploring new places!

After graduating from Harvard University, I knew that I wanted to continue studying tropical forests. I designed a project about mangrove ecology in Ecuador. Mangrove forests are muddy, tropical forests found along coastlines. I will be working on this mangrove research project in Guayaquil, Ecuador, for 10 months as a Fulbright Student Researcher.

Guess what? I started learning Spanish when I was your age, just like you! My 10 years of Spanish classes will help me make the most of this year. I am thrilled for the opportunity to explore a new country and and learn about a very important ecosystem.

Can't wait to explore with you, 2X! Get your questions ready for our first video conference, soon!
