My first day in town was full of surpirses. To start, I didn't expect I'd be able to see an entire castle visible from almost anywhere in town! I knew I had to see the it first thing. The castle is named Marburg Schloss (which means castle), and it looks huge! I knew it would be worth it to visit. I climbed endless amounts of stairs all the way up to the tallest part of the town. But, when I finally reached the top, I learned that it's mainly used for dorms for students now! Can you believe it? I climbed all the way there just to find out it's all dormitories. There wre, of course, still some cool things to see, like the basement ruins and a hall they still use today. Plus, it was beautiful too.

Unfortunately, what goes up must come down, so down the stairs I went. On my way down, though, I was able to enjoy my view of the town. As you can see in the second photo, the town is quite big, especially compared to my small town I am from. But when I visit other German towns and cities, Marburg looks quite small in comparison. Nevertheless, Marburg is a beautiful town with beautiful German buildings.

When I finally go to the bottom, I was so hungry. I had to eat some food.
