Travel News

This park was built with money donated from the country of Taiwan! The park has many different areas. There is a space to go on the swings and a jungle gym for children. There is a running path where people can go jogging and ride their bikes. I came across an area with a mini-library. This 'library' had many glass windows and several books that people could borrow and read outside. The park also has free WiFi ,so people can work outside on their computers, as well.

Other Travel News from this week:

There was a huge rain storm this week! Since there is not really a drainage system here, there was a lot of flooding in the street, as a result of the storm. It is amazing to see how quickly the water can accumulate in the city. I have heard stories that sometimes cars will get swept away by the large amount of water that happens all at once! It is also very common for the electricity to go out when it rains. This is often because there is a lot of wind, and tree branches and large trees themselves can fall onto the power cables! Luckily,t I had carried an umbrella with me in the backpack--I have learned that you never know when it will rain! It can be sunny one moment, and then a few moments laer, a rain shower can start.
