Pierogis: Poland's Most Famous Food!

Introduction:

Hey kids! Today, I'm super excited to share one of my favorite Polish foods with you: pierogis. Pierogis are eaten in central and eastern Europe, but they are most popular in Poland. In fact, tourists from around the world come to Poland to try them. Let's find out what makes them so special!

What food did I try?:

I tried pierogis. Pierogis are a type of dumpling that is typically filled with cheese, potatoes, meat or cabbage. But, people have been very creative with pierogis and filled them with everything from apples to Skittles! What would you fill your pierogis with?

How did I feel when I tried it?:

When I tried pierogis for the first time, I felt amazing! They're delicious! 

How is the food prepared?:

Making pierogis from scratch is a long, but rewarding process. You need to prepare the dough using flour and eggs and cut little circles out of the dough. Then, you need to boil and mash potatoes for the filling. Then you'll need to put the filling in the circles and fold them into the shape of pierogis. Finally, you'll either need to boil or fry the pierogis to cook the dough. After that, congratulations! You've made delicious pierogis!

In order to make pierogis, you need wheat (to make flour) and potatoes.
