Hello, my name is Jazmin Williamson. I am currently a senior at Schreiner University. I was born in Arcahaie, Haiti but have lived in Kerrville, Texas, for the last ten years. I was adopted from Haiti at six and grew up in a large family with nine brothers and sisters. Growing up in a small town in Texas meant that many people didn't look like me, but my family was diverse containing within it a mixture of Asian, Haitian, and American identities. As such, I quickly took an interest in learning about different countries and cultures. Luckily for me, I have been surrounded by people who have helped me with this pursuit, specifically, my parents, friends, former teachers, and current professors.

Ever since coming to the U.S.A., the world has been my oyster: in America, I live in a world where I not only can dream of what I want, but I can make it happen. Coming to the United States allowed me to have an education and opened my eyes to a brand-new world filled with possibilities. Learning about all the people and places on Earth in my books always filled me with wonder and excitement. As such, I made it my goal to travel and see the world as soon as possible.
