I don't know how far I've traveled this week but I know I've traveled far! I've traveled from Kerrville, Tx to Geneva, Switzerland. And so far in Switzerland, I've been to the city of Geneva and the towns of Nyon, Lausanne and Genioler.
I don't know exactly how far I've traveled so far, but I know that the distance from San Antonio, Texas to Geneva, Switzerland is about 5,418 miles! Then I would have to add the miles from my hometown to San Antonio-- about an hour away (I don't want to do that math :)). Plus all the traveling I did from the hostel I stayed in the first two days, to my host family's house, to the school where I studied. I also traveled during my free time: to stores, museums, restaurants, libraries, and outdoor markets. There was so much travel involved in my program that all I can say is that I went far on the first week of my journey.
I used more trains in my first week in Switzerland than I ever had in my entire life! I was given a Swiss Pass through my program, and with it, I was able to use any train or bus whenever I wanted, and I used my pass often. I also rode in cars and had been in an airplane of course (that's how I arrived in Switzerland-- by plane).
