Finland and Its Stunning Environment

Introduction:

Finns (people from Finland) grow up understanding how nature is a precious aspect we must preserve since we live in its presence. Due to this, they treasure the natural beauty that the planet gives more than any other place I have been to. Everyone does their part to protect the environment by making it better than how they found it, ensuring that they never leave a mess behind.

What makes this environment special or different?:

Most of Finland is forest—roughly 80% of its land is covered by trees! This country is also known as the country of lakes, with over 187,000 lakes! Santa lives in the northern Arctic area of Lapland, covered in snow. Overall, Finland's nature has not been negatively impacted by destruction like other countries have had with their natural surroundings. Finns actively correct any negative impacts they may make due to projects. They want to keep nature just as they found it!

What parts of this environment help people to live here?:

Forestry is a big industry in Finland, which allows for many jobs for individuals. For every tree that is taken down as part of their forest industry, one or even two new ones are planted, actively making sure that their forests stay the same size they are meant to be. Finns use their local environment to help with their day-to-day activities.
