¡Ola! Hello! My name is Jennifer Garcia-Ron, but you can call me Jen. I’m 27 years old, and I’m from New York City, also called the Big Apple! Growing up in New York was exciting because there was always something fun to do. I loved going to the movies, visiting art museums, trying new foods, and spending time with my family and friends.
My family is from Guayaquil, Ecuador, so I grew up speaking Spanish at home. Knowing different languages has given me amazing opportunities. In high school, I helped build a school in Cuzco, Peru, and later I traveled to Siena, Italy, to learn Italian. When I went to college, I started learning French, and after a few years, I was able to do an internship in Paris!
I love learning languages, which is why I became a teacher. Now I teach English and Spanish because I want to share my love for learning languages with others. This year, I’m in Lugo, Spain, working as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant at a high school. I’m so excited to be here and can’t wait to share my adventures with you!
