Colombia´s Messiest Attraction!

Introduction:

For me, an important part of traveling is realizing that many people all over the world have things in common. We all eat, sleep, learn, work and spend time with people who are important to us! Travel also makes us realize how people around the world live their lives. Even though we all of us eat, sleep, learn, work and spend time with loved ones, we all live in a beautiful variety of ways. These cultural differences motivate me to travel to learn more about our world and its people.

Sometimes we don´t know why people from different places do things differently, but sometimes we do. Sometimes, people have different traditions because the place that they live has a special natural feature. People who live by the sea often eat more fish in their diets, and people who live in the desert can eat cacti and desert animals. In Colombia, there´s a very interesting natural features that affect how people live their lives here: a mud volcano!

The mud volcano is smaller than a regular volcano and is special because instead of lava, it has hot mud inside! People climb to the top and swim in the mud, which is so thick that everyone floats! This mud volcano is beautiful, fascinating, and unique, and it affects how nearby local people live their lives.

This past weekend, I finally had a chance to visit the mud volcano for myself.
