I would never think to add potatoes to a salad, but it is delicious! There isn't even a dressing for the salad because all of the ingredients work so well together. I am getting hungry just thinking about it!
I have been listening to the Hamiliton soundtrack on repeat. I am trying to learn the rap from the song "My Shot." The creator Lin-Manuel Miranda is genuis and I am inspired by his work. I know I should listen to more French music, but first I want to memorize the words to a couple more Hamiliton songs.
Going to the movies is much cheaper in France! During the week there are discounts for student prices. I can see a movie during the week for just 4 euros! In New York City, tickets to see a movie could be as high as 16 dollars! Needless to say, I really love going to the movies in Paris. There are quite a few American films that are shown in Paris. When going to the movies you have to make sure it says "VO," which stands for version originale (original version). This way, you can see the movie in English, but it will have French subtitles. This week I saw Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them in English with French subtitles. I really loved it!
My first French novel that I read for class was called "Insoupconnable," which means that the person is above suspicion for a crime. It was a kidnapping mystery novel with a lot of turns of events. Right now, for fun I am reading a classic, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer Stone, but I am reading it in French! Some of the translations are really funny!
