Traveler Bio

Salut! Hi! I am Jessie. I come from a small town in Massachusetts called West Springfield, but I am currently studying away for the year in Paris, France! Why did I choose to go to Paris? My family is French…well, actually, we are Quebecoise, which means we are from Quebec in Canada.

To tell you a little about myself, I have one older sister named Jackie who lives in Boston, Massachusetts. She is three years older than me, but I am 5 inches taller than her! I guess I am more like the “bigger” sister.  I spent my first two years of college at New York University (NYU) in New York City. Now, I am in Paris for the year and I am taking all my classes in French! At NYU, I am studying a concentration of Contemporary Culture and Creative Production as well as Business and French. These are my favorite topics because they allow me to learn about new ways to connect with people around the world through different platforms of communciation, to learn how the world works through business and to learn a new language.

There are so many reasons to go to Paris: the food, the museums and the culture are a few. For me, I wanted to reacquaint myself with my family roots. Still, the food really is big part of my experience here as well. I eat a lot of bread and cheese, and pastries are delicious too!
