Hi, my name is Jessica Williams! I'm 19 years old and from North Carolina. This year, I'm a senior majoring in International Business at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. A few things that I like to do is listen to music, draw and learn languages. Since I'm an International Business major and already learned the Korean language, I decided to become an exchange student and study abroad in South Korea at Sungkyunkwan University. I plan to advance my Korean language skills, try a lot of new food and visit as many historical places as possible while experiencing school and business life in Korea. I fell in love with the economic development of the country many years ago and hope to explore it further while here.
This is my first time flying and leaving my state for a long time, so I'm quite nervous but very excited to share my journey. Due to the Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarship Program, financial aid and a few internal scholarships, I was able to achieve my dreams and go for a year. Please follow my journey as I experience everything through a new set of eyes.
