Hi, Classroom! It is officially December, which means I go home to Los Angeles this month! I am so excited to see my family, friends, my room and everything back in my life in LA. However, I have loved every moment in Spain and I will miss my friends, my room and my life here too. I will miss being able to walk everywhere and taking the metro and train. I will miss having breakfast here, and waking up to the sound of parrots outside my window. The list of things I will miss about leaving Spain is endless!
I am so thankful I got the opportunity to live here for the fall through my exchange program with my university. I hope you have enjoyed learing about Spain's culture through my experiences, and I hope that one day you can find yourselves abroad on an exchange program, too! There are many resources and ways to make traveling a reality, especially through educational funding. I am here thanks to the Gilman Scholarship, which is a payment made to students to help them reach their educational goals. You can gain so much power by going to school and asking questions about different topics. I have had to ask many questions in my new environment in Spain, and that is okay! It is how we learn!
