Traveler Bio

Buenas! Hi everyone! My name is Jocelynn Avelar, I'm 25 years old, and I was born and raised in Hawthorne, California. When I was a little girl, I always dreamed about traveling around the world and one day being able to see Europe. I was curious about the architecture, art, food, culture, and learning about the similarities we have with people living thousands of miles away! I always wondered: How different would my life be if I grew up somewhere else in the world, like Paris or Tokyo? Now, I have the chance to live in Madrid, Spain and I'm so excited to be able to have you all join me on my adventures here!

I'm currently a university student at Cal State University, Long Beach, completing my degree in operations supply chain management. My degree revolves around connecting suppliers all around the world to make final products for sale. I made the exciting decision to study abroad for my last year of university, which is how I am now able to live in Madrid, Spain!

I am so excited to have you all join me on this new adventure. I have been living in Spain for a little over three weeks now and am learning all about how people get around, what people like to snack on, and where the locals like to go for fun! Feel free to ask me any questions you may have. I know I will learn so many things from all your imaginative, creative, and unique questions. Let's explore together!
