Life as a Student in Spain

Introduction:

Andres has a question for the classroom as well... he is curious about what being a student in the U.S is like!

What do you eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner?:

Andres answered that for breakfast he typically has a "tostada". Tostadas for breakfast in Spain typically are toasted bread with tomatoes, olive oil and salt. They can also have butter and jam, or jamón, which in English is ham! He says he typically has carne (meat) for lunch and sopa (soup) for dinner!

What is your house like?:

Andres lives in an apartment that is one floor but very spacious. He has his own room, and his apartment flat has bedrooms, two patios and a huge flat roof perfect for playing soccer, his favorite sport!

What chores do you have at home?:

His chore at home consists of sweeping the floor, as his house is all tile throughout. The apartments and homes in Spain typically do not have carpet, so sweeping constantly is very important! He also helps by washing the dishes, feeding and taking care of the family pets and keeping his room tidy.

What jobs do your parents have?:

Both of his parents work in administration.

What time does school start, and what time do you go home?:

School starts daily at 8:15 a.m. and ends at 2:45 p.m.
