When in Rabat the weather is very mild throughout the day. Often in the morning the weather will be cloudy, but throughout the day the clouds clear, and the sun comes out. However, in Marrakech, at this time of year, the days can get rather hot while the nights start getting colder. In one day, the temperature can go from 60 degrees in the early morning to 95 degrees at noon!
I saw all sorts of animals this week ranging from donkeys to snakes and even some camels. Donkeys are still used in the old medinas (cities) of Morocco to transport goods through the narrow streets.
At this time in Rabat, the orange trees that line the street begin to ripen. Even through the sour oranges do not taste good enough to eat, I love looking at the fruits decorating the trees like Christmas ornaments. These oranges are usually used to make candies, perfumes, and oils.
