This week I was very lucky to be able to hear some dakka marrakchia, a traditional dance that involves druming and singing. Morocco is filled with different kinds of traditional music. When I am in Rabat, I often like to go surfing on the weekends. Being in the water is a welcome chance to relax and unwind after a long week. In the summer when families and tourists come for vacation, the beach gets very crowded, but now, as winter approaches, I sometimes feel that I have the waves to myself.
