Chelsea is one of the many friends that I made while I was studying abroad, and this field note is all about Chelsea and how she spends her days in Singapore.
My name is Nurul Hana Chelsea Neubronner.
I live in Singapore! It takes two hours to get from one end of Singapore to another via train. I used to stay in a landed housing, with four floors. Now I stay in a flat, with four rooms!
My family is very close. We spend time together on the weekends eating (because Singaporeans love to eat) or watching football! We are also multi-religious, meaning my dad and brothers are Christians while my mum and I are Muslims. So we live our own lives in that respect, but we do all other things together.
I get around via train and bus, both of which are super-efficient in Singapore. The buses come every ten minutes and the trains come every five minutes. I appreciate having air-con (air conditioning) in the public transport systems! We can also get around via taxi or Grab (which is like Uber). The cost of a trip on the train is about $2 (depends on distance), but a Grab would be around $10, so I will only take it if I am feeling rich.
