My experience of the environment in Singapore was wonderful. The weather was always warm, and that meant I never had to carry around a sweater. It also meant I had to worry more about the heat and all of the sweat stains on my clothing. However, the warm weather made it possible to enjoy beautiful scenes of trees and gardens wherever I decided to go within Singapore. The environment, here, makes it possible for picture-perfect weather year-round, but there are some undesirable side-effects of living in an area with such a climate: thick clouds of haze travel from nearby countries and affect the air quality in Singapore. Later on in this piece, I will explain why that happens.
One thing that makes Singapore special is the elegant way the city environment is combined with nature. As you travel through the city, there are always trees, gardens, and patches of grass to be seen. The way the natural environment flows with the man-made buildings and roads is truly incredible. Also, Singapore’s location allows it to be the first place cargo ships stop by after a long voyage. Singapore is known as a port city where approximately 130,000 ships pass through each year.
